A frequency multiplier is presented here, employing a single CMOS quad package type 4011. The frequency multiplier’s core includes an inverter IC1B, along with two differentiating networks comprised of resistors R1 and C1, and resistors R2 and C2. Furthermore, NAND gates IC1A, IC1C, and IC1D serve as input and output buffers, as illustrated in Figure 2, displaying the waveforms at various points within the circuit.
The CMOS quad package type 4011 is a versatile integrated circuit containing four independent NAND gates. This IC is commonly used in digital logic circuits due to its small size, low power consumption, and relatively simple operation. It is often employed as a building block in various digital systems, offering a cost-effective solution for implementing logic functions.
